For those of you who are descended from Edmund Cartledge and his wife Mary Need, I thought I'd let you know that Mary's ancestry is given in a book about the Need family of Arnold, Nottinghamshire which was published by Michael Walker. The book gives references to all of the necessary documentation, particularly parish registers and probate records. The Need book is available through the Library of Congress, and also the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.
I have published an article which shows how these members of the Need family descend from King Edward III.
