Source Material "South Carolina Baptists 1670 - 1805" by Leah Townsend - 1974 Page 230 cites the following:

REV. CHARLES N. BLACKWELL was a Preacher in Edgefield (McCormack) in 1790. He was a neighbor of EDMOND CARTLEDGE on the Pee Dee River. REV. CHARLES N. BLACKWELL obtained his first land in 1772 (100 acres). On April 2, 1798 one acre was given by ISAIAH BLACKWELL to "the Church of REV. CHARLES N. BLACKWELL on Plum Branch Creek." This was witnessed by by ENOCH BREAZEALE, JESSEE HILL, and JOAB BLACKWELL.
This Church was dismissed from the Georgia Association and given to the Bethel Association in 1804/1805.
Does anyone know of a family connection of this EDMOND CARTLEDGE to this REV. CHARLES N. BLACKWELL?
Also, THOMAS R. CARTLEDGE, Senior (b. Mar 18, 1874 - d. Jul 13, 1960) and his wife MATTIE BLACKWELL (b. Jul 27, 1883 - d. Oct 5, 1905) are both buried at Parksville Baptist Church Cemetery, McCormack County, South Carolina.
Who were the parents of that MATTIE BLACKWELL?
