Researching my family tree

I would like to know if anyone can help me find out where the Carwile name originated from and my family tree. My father is George Wayne Carwile of Leitchfield, KY. His father is Harry Mitchell Carwile married to Janice Corrine Scott. Harry's mother was Maggie Carwile married to Charles Henry Carwile. He was in WW1. Charles Henry was originally given the name of Medder, but was adopted into the Carwile family. Maggie and Charles had 13 children, Harry, James, Lois, Meryl--I don't know the other names. That's as far back as I can go. If anyone has further iinformation, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you andHappy Holidays.
