I don't know where you are, but perhaps you are a descendant of Woody Bowen and Nancy Pruitt. Anyway, according to Family History of Abbeville County, SC there is a book Family of Woody Bowen, 1782-1975, placed in the Abbeville County Library by E. H. Still for Eunice Bowen Branyon (daughter of Robert Bowen). I'm attempting to find the appropriate husband for Woody's daughter Easter/Esther and Susan, who I suppose is the Mary A. E. Bowen listed as his daughter. The info I got from the Carwile family has one thing and the History of Abbeville County has another - actually, they have the husbands switched, so I'm trying to find someone who knows. I am researching my Bowen line. You may e-mail me direct if you wish - will be glad to hear from you.
Lib in Clinton,SC - about 35 miles from Abbeville,SC
