Is there any other Cashel's who can make a connection to my Great Grandmother, Elizabeth Cashel?
She married my Grt Grandfather John Finnegan in 1891 in New York. According to the 1910 NY census they had three children, although there is only Elizabeth and my Grandmother Catherine showing in the household.
I have the info from the LDS website showing the marriage:
Elizabeth Agnes Cashal
Birth: New York, New York, New York
Father: Patrick Cashal Family
Spouse: John M. Finnegan Family
Marriage: 27 DEC 1891 Manhattan, New York, New York
(I believe that this is mine and I am in the process of following it up)
I have also looked up Patrick and family in the 1880 NY census and have a probable match:
Patrick CASHAL Self M Male W 40 IRE Laborer IRE IRE
Maggie CASHAL Wife M Female W 35 IRE Keeps House IRE IRE
Katie CASHAL Dau S Female W 8 IRE IRE IRE
Lizzie CASHAL Dau S Female W 7 NY IRE IRE
John CASHAL Son S Male W 5 NY IRE IRE

Census Place New York, New York (Manhattan), New York City-Greater, New York
Family History Library Film 1254886
NA Film Number T9-0886

On my Grandmother's death certificate, my Aunt Agnes notified the death and Elizabeth's maiden name is shown as "Cashel"
I am so hoping that someone can make a connection as I have found that there doesn't seem to be that many Cashel's around.
