Cashin-Cashin-MacCashin are surnames that can be found in the Isle of Man. Some records are dated to 1511. As sailors, Manx Cashins are found in all parts of the world. I know that some Cashins, with the Cashen spelling, were transported to Australia in the early 1800's. My Grandfather, William Cashin (1867-1915), emigrated to the USA in 1885 and settled in the large Manx community in Cleveland, Ohio. The records on Man are quite good and can take you back with good result for at least the past 150/200 years.. feel free to e-mail me if you would like more information on Manx Cashins. Bob
