Shirley, I don't know if this will help but peter Cashion born aboutr 1791 in Virginia was the son of Thomas and Tabitha Traylor ? Cashion. Jemima was the daughter of Thomas' cousin, Burrell and his wife Judith Traylor ? Cashion. Jemima was born 9-11-1790 also in Virginia. Both of these families moved to Mecklenburg County <NC in the early 1800's. They married in NC and were there until the 1830. By the 1850's Peter and Jemima were in Floyd County, Ga - still there in 1860. I don'thave all their children listed and Lyda isn't among the ones I have, but this might be a good starting place.
Also in Upton County, Ga Elzy Cashon lived with his second family, but again they have been very hard to find though Elzy was still living their in the 1850's. If I can be of further help just let me know. Valette
