I'm trying to find my Cashion connection in Cocke County as well. Mine is Nancy Cashion-not sure if that is her maiden or a married name. She eventually became Nancy Dungy. I think she married about 1830......Cocke Co. When she married Mr. Charles Dungy they merged their children and had a large family, few of their own. They went to Southern IL. I think they may have been over in Western TN in Giles before going on to Southern IL. Some of their daughters married a few miles south of Giles, down into Alabama in Limestone Co., Alabama. These daughters and their husbands, along with their children moved into Williamson Co., in IL also. The name Mitchell or some variation is attached to this family as well. Nancy was known to be a French lady. Some of the children of this couple were previously known as Mitchell or some variation
