I have learned that the Hampton Casner on the 1860 IA Mahaska County census, page 238 is:

Joseph Hampton Casner (b9-30-1837 WV d9-1-1918 Troy, MO). In 1868 he married Lucy Ann Holmes (b7-18-1840 d9-13-1880). They left IA and moved to Booke Co., MO. Both are burtied in the Troy Cemetery.

I can put you in touch with persons of this line. If you contact me, please reference db021.
