The graveside service for Helen Georgean Chapman will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. The Rev. Craig Rench of the First Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Mrs. Chapman, 82, of Central Point, died Monday (5-21-2001) at her home. She was born 4-14-1919 in Earlville, IL, the daughter of George and Ida Casner. On 7-27-1939, in Orange Co., CA she married Robert E. Chapman, who survives. They lived in Oregon County for 40 years and moved to Rogue Valley nine years ago. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Mrs. Chapman was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Medford and the Women's Christian Association. She was very involved with her church through the years. She enjoyed her ranch and raising horses and cattle.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter Carol Horton, Medford; two grandsons; and three great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. II. Arrangements: Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives.
