Thanks to Bert Carrick, this James Casner has been identified. The following is what Bert sent me concerning this James Casner.

"Obituary for James Casner that you posted 12/21/01 is the James Casner from Elm Hall & St Louis Michigan, not Mo. This James Casner was from Ohio and spent most of his life in Michigan, around the St.Louis, Shepard area. He was a well known "Watkins Man" sold Watkins Products, from his horse drawn buggy. He died in Elm Hall, Michigan. He is my Great Grandfather"
