Casner Surname (Evolved to this Spelling)

I am posting a brief query regarding my oldest ancestor of my particular Casner line. The name has been spelled many different ways (Kestner, Kastner, Kerschner, Kasner, Karsner, Kistner, Casner, Carsner, Carsoner, Cashner, Casnor, Caskee, etc., etc., etc).

My oldest ancestor is Jonas Casner/Kestner (b circa 1799 died 1821-1822 MO). His father is believed to be John Nicholas Karsner/Kestner/Casner Sr. (b.c.1746 PA). John Nicholas Karsner/Kestner/Casner Sr. is believed to have had four sons:

(2) Henry
(3) Jonas Casner (married Nancy Wright 7-2-1801 in Washington Co., VA; some of their six children were born in VA, TN, KY.
(4) Levi

The first official records I have located on my line are in Washington County, VA. There is indication my family may have come out of PA to MD then to VA. They are of German descent.

I would like to hear from persons who might be connected to this line. Perhaps we can point one another in the right direction to fill in some gaps for each other.

I have extensive document information on the family/descendants of Jonas Casner (#3 son) that I am willing to share.
