Thanks for posting a response. I've come across Christian Kastner and Philip Peter Casner in doing my research. The library I use has a three volume set of books (very large) on the Kastner, Kestener, etc., etc, etc (various spellings of the name) in which they are listed with some very good research notes. As yet, I haven't made a connection with them to my particular line. Because of the changing of the spelling of the name, tracking my line has been difficult to say the least.

I agree, once something gets on the net it gets perpetuated and that is exactly why I haven't posted any of my research information there.

I keep posting queries hoping that some day I will find that allusive descendant who has the information/clues I need to locate some long missing links in my line.
