Casner - Stanton Marriage - Carroll Co., MO 1851
Posted by: Liz Freeman (ID *****1831) Date: November 07, 2003 at 15:14:21
  of 818

The fourth wife of John Casner (bd10-24-1801VA dd5-24-1883 MO) was Laura Stanton (bd1825 TN) who he married on 3-9-1851 in Carroll County, MO.

John is shown on the 1850 census with no wife in the home. John is a farmer with real estate valued at
$800. This census lists his age as forty-five. Two children (William and James) appear immediately below his name consistent with being his sons. Laura Stanton (bd1825 TN) is listed below his sons. Below her is listed a one year old boy in the manner consistent with being her son. Marriage records in Carroll County show John married Louisa Stanton, his fourth wife, on 3-9-1851 in a service performed by Wm. Rea, J.P.

Their son was John Casner (bd1849 MO).

Would like to communicate with anyone who can shed some light on this particular marriage/family.
