I"m trying to locate the origins of a "Ben" Casner. He shows up on the Lamar County, Texas 1880 census married to M.E., who I believe to be the sister of my 3rd greatgrandfather.
The census shows Ben is 25, born in Arkansas and father and mother both born in Missiouri.
Ben and M.E. have two sons; Henry Clay 4 born in Texas, and John T.L. 4 born in Texas.
There is also a record of A.B.C. Casner who died in Lamar County, Texas on March 8, 1886 and is buried in Rockford Cemetery. I don't know if this is the same Ben Casner that I'm looking at or not.
Might this be the same Ben that you are researching?
