Thanks for posting a response. I had not seen that Ben Casner before on the 1880 census. I do know that he is not the son of Henry Casner and Jincy Jane Fields Casner for two reasons: (1) My Benjamin Casner was born circa 1824-1825 (2) Henry Casner, the father, died in 1847 in IA. Henry had three brothers who had many wifes. It could be that the Ben Casner you mention might be one of their descendants. At any rate, I'm going to explore the person you mention to see if I can tie him in with a particular line. AT present I have some 70 data bases on Casner people; many of them out of MO/AR or at least passing through there. There were two other Casner families that were in TX. One very large family out of Llano County. I checked my data bases but did not find this particular Ben Casner. If I do tie him into a particular line, I will post here to this message board. Thanks again. Notify Administrator about this message?
