Casner Families - El Paso, TX
Posted by: Liz Freeman (ID *****2827) Date: December 10, 2004 at 20:07:08

I am researching my Casner family that made their way into El Paso. From my research, there are two distinctly different Casner lines that lived in El Paso.

My particular line is that of John Lewis/Luke/Lew Casner (born 1-4-1851 IA). He had ten children, some of whom settled in/around El Paso.

Family tradition says John Lewis/Luke/Lew Casner died in 1-1903, but as yet I've not located anyone who has the exact date/place.

John Lewis Casner always traveled with his father, John L. Casner. They left North Texas in 6-1902 and made their way to Lincoln County, NM.

I have to believe out there somewhere is a living descendant (probably of the older children of John Lewis Casner) who has information as to when/where the two John Casners may have died.

I have collected extensive information and some old photos of the line that I am willing to exchange.
