Liz,

I also have Casner family members who live in New Mexico. They have lived there for many years.

I am trying to research my line back to the time they arrived in America; however, I don't know the original spelling of the name. Based on the U.S. census records, it seems the earliest Casner families settled in and around Pennsylvania. Some Casner families eventually migrated to other east coast states while others traveled out west.

I have not been able to find any information on my Casner line past the 1850 census. I do know that my great grandparents had nine children, and those children and their families have settled in the south, midwest, and western states.
