CASADA, half Cherokee Indian, enlisted GA militia 3 months in Nicholas Bishop's Co, 1836 in Murray Co, GA, Cherokee Removal, and according to our family scouted the route for the Cherokee Removal. David Jackson CASADA m. 27 Feb 1837 Murray Co, GA Didama DOUGLAS. She was in McMinn Co, TN 1816- to abt 1837, married by her brother Rev. Hiram DOUGLAS. Hiram b Spartanburg, SC, a Cumberland Presbyterian Ciruit preacher in TN and GA to the Cherokees and to the remaining residents after 1838. Didama and Rev. Hiram Douglas' parents Jesse and Sarah Ann Douglas) David J. Casada and Didama moved to Dade Co, MO 1847- 1849. David Jackson Casada joined Polk Co, MO at an advanced age for the North in the Civil War and was released on surgeon's certificate, serving as a farrier (blacksmith shoeing horses) for the remainder of the war.
1850-JAMES M. and Minerva CASSADA, son Adolphus age 8, and her bro Archibald NELSON Jr., their parents, and Jesse and Sarah Ann DOUGLAS formerly of McMinn Co, TN, and Murray Co, GA, were all in Gilmer Co, GA. Daniel KILLIAN's sister Mary Jane (KILLIAN) and husband John SMART were also in Gilmer Co, GA and in 1860 the SMART's were living by Daniel KILLIAN in Fannin Co, GA.

CASSADA 47 NC, blacksmith $1900/200, Minerva 38 seamtress, GA and JOHN CASSADA age 84, Gentleman, $500 b GA in their household with Patton CASSADA age 18, born the same year as the only child of WESLEY CASADA, two small children, Nancy BUSH 9 GA and John Cassada 3 TN.,and James H. DOUGLAS m. McMinn, TN Elizabeth FIRESTONE, bro of Didama and Rev. Hiram Douglas were in Fannin Co, GA. Daniel KILLIAN and his sister Mary Jane (Killian) and husband John SMART.
JOHN CASSADA,(the same John as in 1860 Fannin Co, GA) "of Buncombe Co, NC), purchased his land in Fannin Co, GA in 1846 from Daniel KILLIAN. Daniel Killian in Union Co, GA Census 1850, in Fannin 1860 (Fannin formed 1854 from Union)and 5 Davenport heads of family (John & William Davenport the oldest).
JOHN CASSADA married at the age of 53 Nancy DAVENPORT in Wayne Co, KY. He prob died Fannin Co, GA.
