Michael Cassata, Veteran of WWII, recipient of the Purple Heart and member of the Tank Corp. under General Patton; beloved husband of the late Mary, nee Miritello; loving brother of Mildred, nee Cassata (the late Adam) Stankiewicz; and preceded in death by six brothers and one sister; cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday 9:30 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park to St. Julie Billiart Church, Mass 10:15 a.m. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
