Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I don't have an Elizabeth Castel. Plenty of Elpet's though. I have traced my Castel ancestors back to William Castel who was born in Cruden in 1804 and died March 1, 1874. His parents were William Castel and Elspet Sangster (info from his death certificate). He married Margaret Webster and they had 10 children that I know of: Elspet (b.1840), Christan (b.1842), Alexander (b.1844), William (b.1846), Helen (b.1849), John [my great grandfather] (b.1850), Mary (b.1852), Barbara Ann (b.1854), Margaret (b.1856) and Rabina (b.1859). I have only found ancestors in the Cruden/Peterhead area. Anyone out there related?
Patricia
