She was born April 12, 1909, in Castlewood, VA, to Charles B. and Nannie G. (Dickenson) Castle. Ida lived in Delaware for 83 years where she retired from Ranco Controls and was a member of the Holy Spirit Fellowship Church. She was a born again Christian whose faith in God was unwavering. She was an amazing cook, loved to sing, dance, collect antiques, donating to her charities and most of all her family. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Dwight Barkeloo Sr.; son, Alvin David Barkeloo Sr.; stepson, Bob (Wilma) Barkeloo; brother, Gilbert Castle; and five sisters, Ossielee, Margaret, Pat, Ruby, and Trula; and a son-in-law Roger E. Wooten. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Biggs, of Kingsport, TN; five grandchildren, Alvin David (Chris) Barkeloo Jr., Angela Diane Wooten, Adrienne Denise (Edward) Robson, Alvin Dwight (Susan) Barkeloo II, and Alicia Dell (Bryan) Cantrell; daughter-in-law, Linda Lee Barkeloo; and a stepson Edgar (Mary Ellen) Barkeloo; six step grand- children, Brenda, Sharon, Patti, Michelle, Terri, and Amber; ten great grandchildren, Christina, Jessica, Brett, Lindsey, Ashleigh, Jennifer, Brandon, Robby, Taylor, and Elise; nine step-great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild, Talia Adara. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 11, 2010, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Thursday, August 12, 2010, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on, with funeral service following at 1 p.m., at Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Delaware, OH. Burial will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery, 334 S. Sandusky Street, Delaware, OH 43015 Memorial contributions may be made to the Council for Older Adults; envelopes are available at the funeral home.
