Mr Becker, Saw your posting for information on the Catchot family of Ocean Springs ; well my grandfather was Joseph O'Rourke son of Florence Catchot & James Richard O'Rourke. He lived with me until his death in July 1998, that September he would have been 98 years old and believe me he was still sharp as a tack. He would often talk about his relatives in Ocean Springs but unfortunately I didn't write names and dates down. My mother tries to recall some of my grandfathers cousins but so far we only have some pieces to the puzzle and no dates. I can remember my grandfather talking about his aunts Lena and Aggie and also about an uncle Angus that was killed as a child by being kicked by a mule. I don't know if my great-grandmother had any half brothers and sisters but I do know my grandfather called Lena and Aggie aunts as well as uncles Lloyd, Joe and Tony. He also said that he was related to the "Arnolds" but he pronounced it as "Anauds". Also on another note I believe that we are probably related on my grandmothers side, because my grandmother was Loretta Walt O'Rourke, her father being John M Walt married to Catherine Kastner. If I looked at your postings right than you and my mother Rita O'Rourke Addotto share the same great-grandfather John U Walt.I find all this very interesting and would also like to know more about how to retrieve information whether on line or through legal documents. I sometimes have some off days from work and with a little guidance I could maybe do some leg work that may help both of us. Hope to hear from you soon.Rita Addotto Hauswald
