Hi. I am desperately trying to find information on a Cathcart family in Scotland. My gg-grandmother, Emma (?) Sanders from England, worked as a domestic servant for the family in the 1870s. They apparently owned a brewery or a distillery, or something of that nature. There may have been an Alexander Cathcart in the family.
If anyone has ANY info. at all, I would really appreciate it. Also if anyone has access to census records (1871), a look-up would be wonderful. Any ideas on how to locate this family would be appreciated greatly as well.
