Dear Leeona, Thank you for replying to my query. All I really know is that my heir from Ireland was named Samuel Cathcart and he was 23 when he arrived in 1768. He had five daughters and then two sons, John and James, my line. I just thought some genealogist might have a Cathcart line that was missing a son by the name of Samuel born in 1745. He came alone and married after he arrived. We have not been able to find his wife's name either. There are John, James, william, Samuel and Robert in the childrens names.
Thank you very much. Annabelle
