Keri, you sent me Dr. Cathey's papers some time ago, but now I'm confused.

This Mary Elizabeth Cathey is either the daughter of 301 John Cathey or his sister, the paper doesn't seem to reconcile the data.

I'm referring to the line under Clones christenings, "Mary Cathy daughter of John Cathy on 30 May 1685." Then under Support for the Hypothesis it mentions the Mary Elizabeth Cathey in the Cathey database as his sister without reconciling the two.

Has it been decided, and how, which Mary married John Brandon b.1691 as "Elizabeth?" Or if they're the same person on two different lists? My notes involve a possible first wife for John possibly named Martha as his Mary Elizabeth's mom.

And am I right that current belief places Mary/Mahley Cathey m. John Brandon of Huntington township, PA (NOT Rowan, NC - we see that reasoning now) as daughter to 301 John Cathey d.1742 in Paxtang township, Lancaster Co, PA? Why isn't she in his will, if she lived just one township over?

I'm almost done with the Humongo Tree of Brandons but need a Twisty Tree of Catheys to complete it!

Thanks, Sally
