If you click on a poster's name you get their email address and can proceed through to see a list of all the postings they've made, by the way. But my private email to you just bounced - it seems your address is outdated.

I have a lot more respect for "family stories" than I did when I started genealogy. Although it isn't anywhere near proof, it sometimes shakes out (once you do the legwork yourself) that some old auntie walked the path and actually discovered something. This is an occasion where I would put, in the Notes section, that the Withrow family researchers passed down information that it was John who was the Tory. So someone else could keep their eyes open and explore Withrow historical material.

My Rowan branches really need updating. No Brandon researchers have popped up from those lines in the 10 years I've been doing this. Henry Cathey and I worked together on these folks, but mostly with their PA origins. The things I found in Raleigh last summer (deeds, wills, etc.) have yet to be added - no fire lit under me when it's the other lines that keep asking questions and need leads!

Would love to get your input, Jean. I do believe I have printouts of your earlier postings in my Rowan folder and have used them for guidance.

Thanks! Look forward to hearing more via sbrandondc @ the hotmail service,

Sally Brandon
