Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

FYI, for all Catheys interested, I have the master transcript from which the Cathey Family Genealogy 1700-1900 was created for the book, "Volume I". Seems I recall that 500 copies were originally made at the expense of my father Boyt H. Cathey. Since this was a relatively exclusive printing, all copies were sold or distributed, many years ago with no profit. The beneficiaries were the Cathey "Clan", mainly in the US (as I understand it). Should the Cathey "Clan" wish to print additional copies, they would have to rally together to make the cost justifiable. Otherwise, we will need to make due with the copies which exist.

I suspect that I am the only person with the copyright approval but this might require some additional investigation. Please let me know if you, or the "clan", would like to press on with this opportunity. My readings of the forum indicate considerable interest. As my father, I am not interested in any profit.

Regards,

Robert A. Cathey
