Hello Kathe! No my father never completed a Volume II. We discussed this on several occasions. The first Volume was such a massive undertaking he decided that it would be best to try to work with people to help establish the groundwork for other family members to continue this work. He was the writer of the CRA Kith & Kin for a number of years which included reunions and other genealogical data. So, to my knowledge, his work on the second volume was threefold: 1) data he collected, 2) contributions to the CRA Kith & Kin, and 3) working with individuals directly via e-mail, etc.
BTW, I have seen the latest Kith and Kin and I tip my hat to John Cathey for doing a wonderful job on the Kith and Kin newsletter.
