Catherine Probablely is probably the daughter, or grand daughter by Martin Caughman, of Jurg (George) Martin Kansman/Caughman, who Immigrated to South Carolina on the Ship "UPTON" in 1752. Catherine is not readily known to most of the Caughman family genealogys. However, the spelling "Caughman" is almost uniquely South Caroline in origin. Her date of birth, suggest 2nd or 3rd generation. Katherine was the name of Jurg Caughman's wife.
