Hi Clay,
That's a new one ! IRELAND??? Please will you share what you know of your Caughman's family origins here? I've only ever heard that our line started out as KANSMAN, went from that to KAUFMANN and now to the spelling it is today.
This line landed in Charleston, SC in the 1750's and started the "Southern" branch of the family.
I would Love to hear your Irish descent.
