CAULFIELD/CAUFIELD
Can anyone please help. Trying to do a family tree and have hit a brick wall as such looking a great great grandmother who we know was a Bridget Caulfield sometimes spelt Caufield born in 1849 supposedly in county antrim again we are not too sure we know that she did marry a John Doherty again maybe spelt Dougherty etc and that one of their children Henry was baptised in Glenarm in Tickmacreenan on 1st November 1878 they then moved on to Carrickfergus and spent several years there. They had 7 children that we know of Henry,Hugh,Ellen,Archibald,Michael,Jane,Charles although we have heard from an elderly aunt that there may have also been two other sons called Patrick and a John/James and that Bridget's husband may have been married before and these older children may be from a first marriage.
We know that both Bridget and John were buried in a Caulfield/Caufield grave in Ballygowan cemetary outside Larne.
Can anyone shed any more light on Bridget Caulfield/Caufield for me as we do not know where she was born who her parents family were etc we do not even know where to start with her as all information in the family we have is very vague and we really do not have too much to go on. We know that they both lived in Larne in 1911 as they are on the census aged 73 and 62 and that they lived in 18 mill lane later on the address was 2 off church lane I am guessing that these addresses are in or around the same area.
All guidance would be greatly appriciated.
