Who is or was your Mother?? Dad's Mother, Cordelia Ann Caves Morrow was born in Walnut or Ash Grove, MO Oct. 12, 1872 and her parents removed to OK around Davenport in Lincoln County before 1894 as Grandmother and Granddad Morrow were married at the then town of Lilly in Lincoln County, OK Territory in 1894. Granddad Morrow was a Baptist Preacher. Cordelia was the youngest child of Thomas and Nancy Permelia (Kirk) Caves. Lula Caves married John Perryman and they had Elmer, Allen and one other son. Lula was just older than Cordelia. Two of the girls died young and are buried at Kelley Cemetery as are many of our other folks. Thomas Cave/Caves was second son of John Cave, Jr. and wife, Jane Tolbert/Talbot (whom we still need parents for) and they were married in Surry County, NC and then moved to Roane County, TN before coming to Missouri. John the elder was born probably in VA and was still living on the 1850 Census, NC with a son. I don't have these records right in front of me. I just got the computer going again after a week having my nephew, Jim Anderson fix it for a new flat scanner/printer. He rebuilds computers and gave me mine. He is into genealogy too and has much more in parts than I do. I somewhere have old papers on Cave in England but don't know of a Cave family book. There is a book at the Ash Grove Library on our Kirks which has picture of Thomas and Nancy Permelia Caves though. My Dad looked quite a bit like his Grandfather Thomas I think. There is picture of Great Great Grandad John Kirk in the book also. I sent you a note on the Swearingens also which are Dad's Grandmother Morrow's family. There is a Swearingen book I believe at the Library of Congress. I don't remember where I got my line from the book as this was many years back but there is a lot of information on Swearingen/van Sweringen on Genforum and other books have a lot in Maryland and the Delaware records also. I have done research since I was in my late teens and I will be 65 in Sept. but there are still many gaps in my lines including our Cave line. I haven't tried my new copier yet, but will send stuff by E-Mail if I can later. Tharell Ann Notify Administrator about this message?
