DNA matches
Posted by: David Burnett (ID *****7264) Date: May 17, 2007 at 21:33:48

I am not a Cave. My given surname is Burnett. The ancestor of my line was born a bastard and his father is unknown.
My dna was done with FamilyTree DNA. They recently contacted me to advise I had exact matches with several people. Six of whom are named'CAVE'!

I have attempted contact two of the Caves and had no response.
If any Caves wish to get in touch I would be pleased to hear from them. I do not wish to intrude in anyone personal affairs. My intent is to see if there is a historical path of travel that can be traced. My ancestry is from Scotland ca. 1794.

There would seem to be do doubt that the CAVES ancestry and mine were connected in past times.
I will share any and all DNA data that I have for myself.

Thank you.

David Burnett
