Charlotte's parents were Joel Caves 1807-1886 and Eliza Stratton 1815-1880, they were born in England and were the parents of 11 children. He was also previously married in England and his first wife died. It was said they first came to the United States and went to Lyons, New York. They then came to Wisconsin to Waukesha WI, then on to Richford, Waushara Co., Wisconsin Their children together were John, Lydia, Betsy, Emma, Charlotte, Joseph, Eugene, Albert, Matilda, Selena and Eliza. (He also had 4 children by his first wife Ann Bunker, two of them died young and only one daughter came with them from England.) Look for Charlotte in Marquette Co., Wisconsin. She is buried in the Westfield East Cemetery with her husband Truman Curtis.
