Ms Schirmer, Circumstances suggest that John Cave who died in Stafford and whose will was probated in 1721, was my direct ancestor. I have been following any info on him for years, but have not been able to find where his line originated. I have not established whether he was my immigrant ancestor. It would be a breakthrough if you have evidence re Caldecott, England as his origin. Can you tell me anything about how you came to associate John Cave d. 1717 Stafford with John Cave b. 1637 Caldecott?
