I am currently researching 18th & 19th century parish records in the Idle, Bradford area of the West Riding of Yorkshire, England from where the name Cawthray seems to have originated. I have one Cawthray on my family tree - Eliza Cawthray who married Joseph Airton in Yeadon (a village between Bradford and Leeds) in 1842. I make a note of any Cawthray/Catherey/Cautheray, etc. references that I find. If anyone has any Cawthray, etc. interests in this area please contact me.
