The internet is great...We find relatives all over the world that we never knew we had. I have quite a bit of information and like always I never know where to start or what to share. Currently I am converting to electronic text the 50 page book "Past and Present" notes by Henry Cawthra. This was compiled by Maude Cawthra Brock in 1924 and gives the histrory of the Cawthras of when the came over to the New World in 1803 and eventialy settled in Toronto. They were so wealthy that in the mid 1800's they toured the world and this book is basicly a compilation ovf letters sent home from their trip.
I know that Jonathan and Mary had 6 children ( Hannah, Nancy,Joseph,Jonathan, Isaiah and John) and that they are my 2nd Great Grandparents. My Great Grandfather was Jonathan Jr. and I believe he was born in the US in Pennsylvania. I know little more other than Jno Jr. eventially ended up in Cleveland Ohio where the family settled. I don't have but would like to fill in the period of when Jno Sr. left Canada and his where abouts and activities for that period. My Great Grandfather Jno Jr. had 2 wives Isabella Harris and Jessie Simpson. My Grandfather was the 10th of 11 children from those wives, five from Isabella and six from Jessie.Why don't you fill me in briefly on what information you have and I can see if it fits into our branch. There are not many of us Cawthras around and in a way thats good because if you find one there is a good chance they are related.
