Denise here again. I line in this message you posted caught my eye. You mentioned you did not know the connection between Canadian and US Cawthras. For what it is worth, my ancestor, Jonathan was disinherited from his Canadian family after joining up in the war of 1812. He mover to the USA for a time (Pennsylvania) where he married his wife, Mary (last name unknown). They had several children (I only know some names) then Jonathan moved back to Canada. Some of his children remained. Do we need to talk further?? Is this of any help??
