I am trying to contact family members of William Aaron. He was listed MIA then later KIA 9/27/1944. He was a radio operator on a B-24 piloted by Roy E. Bolin. My first cousin Charles E Weatherly was Engineer/Top Turret Gunner on this plane and was also KIA in his ill fated mission, known as the Kassel Mission. Of 34 B-24 bombers only 4 bombers survived. Go to kasselmission.com to verify what I have written. If you have any information or can help find information about William Aaron please call Don Lum 435-820-4128 or Linda Dewey 231-642-0742. Linda is president of Kassel Mission Historical Society. On 08/01/2010 there is a memorial in Germany to honor the men who fought and died in the Kassel Mission air battle, relatives of these men are welcome. As of now my relatives are the only family representing the Bolin crew. Until now no relatives represented the Bolin crew at the memorial site. I want to find all families. My family was just told the full story. Plane broke into 3 pieces the tail gunner survived crash and POW camp. I have more info and names.
