I have found several theories on the web concerning Anna Ault who married Leonard Caplinger in the late 1700's. One theory has this Anna born in MD in 1785, captured by indians, married to Capt. Ault and then later married to Leonard Caplinger. If this is true, then Anna would have been 12yrs old and on her second marriage when Nancy Elizabeth Caplinger was born in 1797.
Another theory is that Anna was born in Berke (Berks?) PA abt 1775, daughter of Michael and Mary. This seems to be a better fit, however, the name Michael isn't appearing in any of the decendants unless I just haven't found one yet.
My ggg-gm was Anna Ault Oneal who married Robinson King in 1840 in Marshall Co. MS. Since Robinson is a little unusual, I believe it may be the surname of one of his ancestors. Can anyone connect the families of Ault, Caplinger, Oneal, King & Robinson (Roberson, Robertson, Robison). I'm finding most of the links in early 1800's in Wilson County, TN and the mid-1800's in Williamson County, IL. Some of the families moved on to southern MO and northern AR.
