I looked at the Bartow Forum more out of curiosity than anything else.
My wife, Carolyn Sue (Wyatt) McDuffee came from the line of Bartows that began with Anthony and Betsy LaBarteau. Anthony came to this country with the 6000 French troops that landed in New Port, Rhode Island, May 1780 under the command of Rochambeau. He married Betsy (?)and they had two sons Benjamin Middleton Bartow and a brother (unknown) as he was bound out to a farmer in Oneida County, NY after the death of their parents. Benjamin Middleton Bartow was born 26 Sept 1800. Benjamine married Mary WHITE 12 Aug 1824. Mary was the third child born to Nathaniel and Nancy White of St. Clairsville, Onio, she was born in 1805. They moved to Mansfield, Ohio in 1815. The old WHITE homestead is located on what is now called East Third Street.
This information is in a geneaology work done by Omer P. Bartow, he makes mention of several members of the WHITE families. His book was dated Feruary 1967 and is not index.
Hope this helps. I may be able to copy some of this information if you would like. It does contain quite a lot of info on this WHITE family.
