I would like to get all the details you have about Caroline Bayard, her husband and her descendants.

I have William Henry Bayard's complete ancestry back 9 generations to Nicholas Bayard born about 1500 in France. Are you a descendant of this William? If so I would like to get the genealogical data on the line down to you.

William Henry Bayard's parents are Lewis Pintard Bayard, b Jul 23, 1791, Philadelphia, PA, d. Sep 21, 1840 at the Island of Malta, and Cornelia Matilda Rhea, dau of Col. Jonathan Rhea and Maria Matilda Rutgers. The Rutgers family is one of the earliest in New York.

Lewis Pintard Bayard's parents are Samuel Bayard, b Jan 11, 1767 New Brunswick, NJ, d May 11, 1840 Princeton, NJ (he was Clerk of the United States Supreme Court), and Martha Pintard, b abt 1780 NJ, d abt 1850 NJ, dau of Lewis Pintard and Susanna Stockton (sister of the Signer Richerd Stockton).

Samuel Bayard's parents were Col. John Bubenheim Bayard, b Aug 11, 1738 Bohemia Manor, Cecil Co., MD, d Jan 7, 1807 New Brunswick, NJ (he was a hero in the Revolutionary War, being one of the organizers of the "Philadelphia Associators", a state militia group that joined Gen Washington at a crucial time and helped Washington win seminal battles in NJ for which Washington was greatly indebted to him (hence his son Samuel became Clerk of the U.S. Supreme Court), and Margaret Hodge, b May 7, 1740, d Apr 13, 1780.
