hi there norah, im looking for my family history in liverpool. my father francis anthony blake was born in 1940 on the 18th aug. he was a pupil at st francis xsaviour school and he lived with his mother margaret somewhere by scotland rd in the everton/bootle area. i believe the blake name came from his mother,as his father was believed to have been a french sailor and also a bigamist, for which he was deported out from the uk. he also had a sister who was fostered at an early age. & margaret my grandmother was in a dance troupe called the "tiller girls" before & poss during the war. i have no other information as my dad left us many yrs ago,& has always been secretive about his roots. i hope there may be a link to your own family peace carlos southport, uk |
