I think we may have emailed back and forth a few years ago about Luke Breese. I was just starting to look for info at that time and did not have much.

My Luke Breese was born in VA in 1809. We do not know which county in VA. It is interesting that the census information that I found showed Luke Breeze in VA in 1810. No listing of a child though. From there he ended up in Morgan County Ohio. He married Mary A. Hopkins (she went by Polly) on October 28, 1830 in Morgan Co. She was born in PA. I found a record of their marriage on the Morman Family History site and they spelled his name BREEZE. All other documents show the name as being spelled BREESE.

Just recently a cousin of mine found an old box full of documents in his Mother's closet. In it was a copy of the Last Will & Testament of Luke Breese (Circa 1870). We were shocked and delighted to find it.

Deerfield Cemetery located in Deerfield Twp Section 23. On Deerfield Rd 187 about 0.1 miles north of its junction with OH State Route 37. The Deerfield Presbyterian Church which is located at the west edge of the cemetery is still active and all grounds including the cemetery are well cared for.
