Timothy Brees was a Revolutionary War soldier whose name appears on the Iowa Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (IASSAR) monument which appears south of the Iowa State Capitol building in Des Moines, Iowa.

Timothy was born about 1863 in the Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey. He was a private in Captain Yelle/Gile's Company under Colonel Mathias Ogden.

Lewis moved to Iowa in 1840 and died on 26 October 1847 in Washington Township, Lee County, Iowa. His Revolutionary War pension was S16454.

The IASSAR is seeking all his genealogy/descendants to the present. I can be contacted at: Michael K. Mulford, President IASSAR, mulfordm@pcpartner.net and I thank you for your assistance.
