Darla,
I have discovered there were two branches of Brindleys in that area. Elijah, his father Stephen and Stephen's father are all listed as being born in the Chestnut Mound-Buffalo Valley are. In the 1870 Putnam co. census a Benjamin F. Brindley is listed as being born in Kentucky. Benjamin's grave is in Brindley Holow, but Elijah's is at the Chestnut mound Methodist Churh. By the way, you missed your family's stomping grounds. My parents lived in Robinson Hollow when they were first married. Their first chil, Ann Francis Webb, died a few weeks after her birth and she is buried there in Robinson Hollow. So, if you ever get the chance to come back, check it out. Oh, hi third cousin :>)
