John Alfred/Alford and Susan Marie Campbell CALDERWOOD are my great grandparents. J.A.'s parents were Henry and Rebecca Chenoweth CALDERWOOD of New Castle PA. Their marriage record gives their parents names. They had children Eve (my grandmother) and Howard (last known to be in Wyoming about 1930).
A Chenoweth researcher provided me with the names of the siblings. John's brother Alexander and his wife Lizzie Carson CALDERWOOD signed as witnesses to John and Susan's marriage in IL in 1880. Another brother, James traveled with John and sister Annie, to Nebraska. Annie married Delbert Cameron. James married Lina Clapp and John married Mary Clapp after Susan's death. Another brother Henry Mason married in IL also (have copy of certificate). There are other siblings but I have no links yet.
From another "cousin" Colleen Calderwood Blanton: "Henry Mason Calderwood's dob Mar. l849 , dod Jan. l93l, Interred Mission Center Cemetery, Topeka, Kansas. Married Evaline Shores McClain b 6-26-l849, dod l2-5-l9l3, Interred Shelby Cemetery Cemetery, Shelby Nebraska. Also have names of their children. Henry and Evaline are my greatgrand parents."
"cousin" Chet (and his sisters Lois and Maxine) is grandson of John A. and Mary Clapp Calderwood. Chet's father "Guy" lived in Nebraska where the Clapp families were also from.
Another researcher, DL Latimer, is gr gr grandson of sister/sister-in-law of Delbert and Annie J. Calderwood Cameron:"AS A YOUNGSTER MY MOTHER USED TO TAKE MY BROTHER AND I TO VISIT FRIENDS IN MEADVILLE, PA. THEIR NAME WAS CALDERWOOD. I ONLY REMEMBER THE FIRST NAME "JENE" OR "GENE" FOR ONE OF THE TWO SONS OF MRS CALDERWOOD. I'LL HAVE TO ASK MY BROTHER ABOUT THAT. I THINK THEY ENDED UP MOVING TO WVA."
Seems our Calderwoods covered alot of territory. I am most willing to share any and all info I have and am working hard to obtain additional documentation. It has been great to connect up with Calderwood cousins.
