Blanche Cashion Caldwell - Mrs. J. C. CALDWELL - submitted a notarized statement to the DAR with her membership application:
Statements and Family Bible Record
Item 1. No family records seem to give the last name of Judy, wife of Burrel CASHION with her dates of birth, death and marriage. His will states, "my beloved wife Judy CASHION."
2. Marriage date of my great grandparents John CASHION and Wilmouth LOFTIS is April 20th 1812. I have not been able to find dates of their deaths.
3. See enclosed attached copy of data from old CASHION Family Bible in my possession. These family records are included in my certified statement below.
4 Included in the above statements I also hereby testify that the copy of the will of Burrel Cashion attached to my application papers, I myself copied from the records in Mecklenburg County Court House, Charlotte, NC, Book H, pages 164-166, dated May 12th, 1829.
I hereby testify to each of the above statements. They are true to the bes of my knowledge and belief.
