George Benjamin Sr.
George Benjamin Sr, 60, of Cragsmoor died Saturday at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Ellenville. He was born in New Paltz on Oct. 1, 1902, a son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Burke Benjamin. Mr.Benjamin was married on May 17, 1923 at New Paltz to the former Daisy Churchill. He had been a tool and diemaker at Water Knife Co., Ellenville. Surviving beside his wife are two sons, George Jr., of Pine Bush and Kenneth Benjamin of Cragsmoor; seven daughters, Mrs. Betty George of Kerhonkson; Mrs. Louis Houck of Walden; Mrs. Barbara Garlinghouse of Mt. Mongoia; Mrs. Carolyn Hunt of Pine Bush; Mrs. Mary Lou Stedner, Miss Margaret and Kathleen Benjamin, all of Cragsmoor; also 20 grandchildren and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 1 p. m. at Loucks Funeral Home Inc. 79 North Main Street, Ellenville. The Rev. George Winn, pastor of Ellenville Reformed Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fantinekill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm
